Its
decor has a rich warm feel making it a popular and ideal choice when it comes
to private functions of any description of up to 50 people. It is
a typical MEN'S CLUB bar boasting a weighing chair presented to the PE Club in
1929 by Sir EH Walton, wood pannelling throughout and a fireplace with
surrounding padded bench called an "Ingle Nook". In
the bar hangs a collection of fine "Vanity Fair(Spy)" cartoons and
memorabilia from the frontier wars that was collected over the years.
The
George Bar, originally part of the snooker room, has been converted into a
charming Olde-World Pub with a high vaulted ceiling.
The
Members Bar is the main anchor of the Club and is reserved for Members,
but is open to the public at certain times.
