The main dining room.The Main Dining Room is a treasure trove for art lovers. 

It houses a collection of fine art works envied by many.

It is a spacious elegant dining and dancing venue and is always in great demand for wedding receptions and private functions for up to 120 people.

It is also eminently suited for large conferences, seminars and breakfast meetings and formal dinners of up to 150.

The Lounge has a wonderful warm ambience especially in the winter months, when a glowing fire is lit.

Resplendidly furbished with crystal chandeliers, this room is suitable for medium sized functions of up to 60 people.

The adjacent Cuckoo's Nest (originally the bar area set aside for the ladies when they were first allowed in the Club), now provides an integrated breakaway area for catering or splinter meetings.

The Victoria Room situated on the first floor has a magnificent view from the spacious balcony.

The private bar in this venue, gives it a distinctive edge when it comes to hosting intimate business meetings, and elegant smaller functions for 25 people or cocktail parties for up to 50 people.

The President's RoomThe Elizabeth Room leads off from the pleasant courtyard. With its full length glassed french doors and domed ceiling with concealed lighting, this room is admirably suited for lunch or dinner parties of up to 30 people.

The President's Room also leading off the courtyard is graciousness supreme. It houses a collection of detailed turn of the century water colours by Port Elizabeth born deaf-mute artist John Roland Brow 1850-1912), who was trained at the Liverpool school of art.

The collection is complimented by the mock fireplace, subdued lit crystal chandeliers and lends itself to any intimate function of up to 20 people.

The Club Room also leads off from the courtyard and is comfortably suited for breakfasts, seminars and other smallish gatherings of up to 40 people. It has its own small private enclosed courtyard, ideal for the service of conference teas.

The Library and Reading Room is situated on the first floor and in it will be found a broad selection of reading matter to suit all tastes.

Overstuffed leather armchairs and dimmed reading lamps are so arranged, to give comfort and relaxation to any book lover.

Ladies Luncheons are held on the first Monday every three months.

A three course meal is served and a percentage of the takings is donated to a different charity each time.

Besides these luncheons, various other functions are organised throughout the year such as Bridge Drives, Dinner Dances, and Tea Parties, all in aid of various charities in the city and surrounding areas. The Club is proud of the fact that even when times are tough, it gears itself up and rallies to the aid of the less fortunate.

Throughout its 136 year history, the Port Elizabeth St George's Club has given good service to the city and its visitors and will continue to do so. She stands proud and tall as a landmark for the future generations of Port Elizabeth and its visitors.
